Been in HK for five years. Pre-COVID, was gay Mecca due to Broadway gays and cheaper rent. Now, there’s the Q club (which is still popular for their PopRave on Fridays) and a lot more gay bars in the area - Thirst, Vers, the Spot, Boxers, etc. Arguably, compared to five years ago, there’s a lot more bars to go to, but there’s less of the pre-COVID struggling gay actor/bohemian vibe that.
